NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

North Las Vegas police reported a motorcyclist died following a crash with another vehicle Thursday afternoon.

According to the department’s Officer Aaron Patty, the crash occurred about 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Donna Street and East Azure Avenue, which is located just southwest of East Centennial Parkway and Losee Road.

The motorcyclist, a 28-year-old man, was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

According to police, a preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist failed to stop at a posted stop sign and struck a four-door Dodge sedan. The driver of the Dodge remained at the crash scene and cooperated with investigators.

The victim’s identity will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office in the coming days.
