Shooting at Las Vegas homeless camp leaves man critical

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police said a shooting at a homeless camp left a man with critical injuries Thursday. 

The incident occurred at 3:24 a.m. near Maryland Parkway and Reno Avenue, near Tropicana Avenue. 

Police said two men were involved in a fight at a homeless camp when the suspect shot the victim. The male victim and his girlfriend then ran to a 7/11 to call police. 

The victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical but stable condition, police said. 

Police said the suspect has been identified, but no arrests have been made. 

The incident remains under investigation.
