LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Just days ahead of the Halloween weekend, Las Vegas Metro police are holding a sobriety checkpoint.

According to the police department, the location, which is not being specified, is one where about 30 collisions, 48 calls involving impaired drivers and a fatality took place in the last six months.

The checkpoint is being planned for Tuesday, Oct. 25, between 7 p.m. and 3 a.m.

Officers will be checking on drivers of all ages who exhibit drug and/or alcohol impairment in preventing potentially deadly crashes.
