Stabbing forces Main Street in downtown Vegas to shut down

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The northbound lanes of Main Street were shut down near Las Vegas Boulevard after a stabbing late Wednesday morning.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, a man was wounded in the stabbing in the 1800 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard about 11 a.m.

The victim was stabbed in the arm by another man. The victim was taken to University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Police shut down northbound lanes of Main Street during an investigation into the incident.

Police were still seeking the person responsible in the case. A motive was not immediately identified.
