LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man found shot to death over the weekend inside a ransacked home just north of McCarran Airport has been identified.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said Chad Shelton, 27, died of a gunshot wound to the chest as a result of a homicide.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, officers responded to reports of a body found at a home in the 5400 block of Surrey Street, near Hacienda and Eastern avenues, at 7:25 a.m. on Saturday.

One of the victim's roommates found the man before calling police. Metro said four total roommates were interviewed or in the process of being interviewed regarding Shelton's death.

Citing one of the roommates, police said the home appeared to be ransacked and two guns were possibly missing from the residence. Police were also looking for a 2016 Hyundai Velostar with Nevada plate "RAAPTOR" as part of the investigation. Police located that vehicle early Sunday morning.

There were no arrests immediately made, and a motive was not identified.
