LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police confirmed one person has been taken into custody following a barricade Thursday morning. 

Police responded to the incident in the area of Charleston Boulevard and Bruce Street, near Fremont Street.

Police said the suspect fired a gun in the neighborhood then refused to leave a residence.

No further details were immediately released by police.

Bruce Street was closed near Charleston Boulevard. Motorists were urged to use alternate routes.
