SANDY VALLEY, NV (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro Police are investigating a critical injury crash in Sandy Valley from late Saturday night.

Police were called to the intersection of Quartz Avenue and Miami Street at about 11:45 p.m. with reports of a rollover accident.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements, according to Metro, indicated a 2004 Hyundai Tiburon began to roll after the driver lost control of the vehicle.

The Hyundai then struck a wood utility pole near the intersection before coming to rest according to police.

Authorities said the 38-year-old female driver was flown to University Medical Center in Las Vegas and admitted with critical injuries.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and the incident remains under investigation according to Metro.
