Pedestrian killed in North Las Vegas crash

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

North Las Vegas Police reported they were on the scene of a fatal collision Thursday night.

The crash took place about 7:20 p.m. in the 3400 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, near North Pecos Road.

According to police at the scene, a 65-year-old man was crossing Lake Mead outside of a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a Ford truck. The victim was taken to University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where he was pronounced dead. 

Police said the driver involved remained at the crash scene and it is not believed that drugs or alcohol were factors.
