High winds prompt dust advisory in Clark County

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A gusty start to the fall season in Clark County prompted a dust advisory Thursday.

The county's Department of Air Quality issued the advisory due to elevated levels of blowing dust stemming from high winds in the area.

According to the department, unhealthy levels of dust for sensitive respiratory groups were occurring Thursday afternoon, which was the time of the issuance.

Air quality officials urged people to check their website to monitor current conditions.
