19-year-old shot, killed in North Las Vegas

NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

North Las Vegas Police are investigating a shooting that took the life of one person early Sunday morning near East Lake Mead Boulevard.

Police responded to a shooting call at about 12:40 a.m. in the 3000 block of Wright Avenue, near Belmont Street and Lake Mead Blvd. 

Arriving officers said they found a 19-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds at that location.

The man was taken to University Medical Center, but later died from injuries sustained according to the NLVPD.

Police said the shooting doesn't appear to be a random act of violence and are looking for a small blue pickup truck believed to be involved in the fatal incident.
