PD: man taken into custody after barricade situation

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Police have one person in custody after they were dealing with a barricade situation in east Las Vegas Saturday afternoon.

Las Vegas Metro police said they were trying to make contact with a man inside a residence at an apartment complex in the 4200 block of Tamarus Street as of 1:30 p.m.

FOX5 received numerous phone calls from viewers about the police activity that was happening at the Tamarus Park Apartments near East Flamingo Road.

Police did confirm a man was taken into custody after the barricade situation ended by 3 p.m. at that location, and the original call was for a family disturbance.

No further information has been released by authorities at this time.
