LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Round-trip tickets on board the first nonstop, direct flights from Las Vegas to China will start at $650.

According to the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority, the introductory price-point was announced Monday along with Hainan Airlines' approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation for a flight route between Las Vegas and Beijing.

The service, which will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, starts on Dec. 2.

The $650 round-trip price is applicable for travel booked between Dec. 2 and Dec. 8 and between Dec. 27 and April 28, 2017. Holiday travel booked for dates between Dec. 10 and Dec. 24 is priced at $1,100. The prices include taxes and fees.

Tickets are available at hainanairlines.com or at 1-888-688-8813.

LVCVA first announced the new travel route last month. Boeing 787 Dreamliners will be used for the flights.
