Hit-and-run suspect posts vacation pictures to Facebook

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The man suspected of killing another man in a hit-and-run crash could be out of the country, according to his latest Facebook post.

North Las Vegas police named Qaadir Amin II a suspect in the May killing of Clay Stampley Sr. Stampley Sr. was on his way to work when the driver of a gold GMC Yukon ran a red light and hit Stampley Sr. so hard he was thrown out of his car.

Amin, who has been on the run since the crash, reactivated his Facebook recently and posted about a trip to the Bahamas.

“It makes me very upset because he's able to travel, get on a plane, and stuff and I don’t think anyone is taking it seriously like my family is,” Stampley Jr. said.

FOX5 called North Las Vegas police to check for an update, and they said the case is still open and they’re looking into his page.

In a statement, the department acknowledged the Stampley family’s grief. They also said they are are working diligently to bring Amin into custody.
