Coroner identifies pedestrian struck, killed by vehicle on Boulder Highway

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A pedestrian killed in a crash in August has been identified. 

The Clark County Coroner’s Office said 60-year-old Joao Siqueira died from multiple blunt force injuries. The manner was ruled an accident.

Las Vegas Metro police said Siqueira was walking across Boulder Highway in or near a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck him. Witnesses told police the vehicle was traveling on a green light and Siqueira was walking against the light.

Siqueira was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash, police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
