LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police said a wanted homicide suspect is now in police custody in Arizona.

Saturday, police identified 22-year-old Asa Brown as a suspect in connection to a deadly shooting near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway on Friday.

Police described him as a 6-foot tall black male who was armed and dangerous.

Sunday, Metro officers updated the case and said Brown was in police custody in Gilbert, Arizona.

According to Metro, officers were called to the 1100 block of Sierra Vista Drive at 10:28 a.m. Friday for reports that a man had been shot.

The person was transported to Sunrise Trauma Center, where the victim was pronounced dead.

Police said the victim and Brown were involved in an argument before the suspect shot the victim multiple times.

Brown left before police arrive.

Police believe the pair may have known each other prior to the incident.

Anyone with further information is urged to contact Metro's homicide section at 702-828-3521 or by email. To remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
