LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Fire Department responded to reports of a blaze at the Paradise Spa Apartments, where one person was injured and 19 residents were left displaced on Tuesday night.

Fire Chief Roy Session said crews saw flames as smoke as they arrived at the 9400 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard just before 10:30 p.m.

One victim was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, the report said. The victim's condition is unknown at this time.

The fire was put out at 11:50 p.m. Session said eight of sixteen units were damaged.

The American Red Cross was called to the scene to assist with the displaced residents.
