HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

The deaths of two people found inside a Henderson home Monday night may have been the result of a murder-suicide, police said.

Michelle French, spokesperson for the Henderson Police Department, said officers were called for a welfare check at a residence inside the 2800 block of Blythswood Square, near Anthem Highlands Drive, about 6 p.m.

Officers located two people dead inside the residence, both with gunshot wounds, according to police.

Police said the situation is being investigated as a murder-suicide. Police believe there are no outstanding suspects and that the deceased were the only people at the home at the time.

Police described the two found inside the house as in their late 30s to early 40s age range.

An investigation is ongoing.
