Jurors on Thursday afternoon returned a verdict of life in prison with the possibility of parole after 20 years for Michael Solid, who was convicted of robbing and killing a teen in an apparent attempted iPad theft.

Solid on Wednesday was convicted on all charges, which included first-degree murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Solid and another man, Jacob Dismont, in 2013 conspired to steal an iPad from 15-year-old Marcos Arenas, who was walking home from school.

Arenas held onto the device during the attempted robbery. He was run over by the vehicle Solid and Dismont were in and later died.

Dismont earlier agreed to plead guilty to charges of second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery. His sentencing is set for Oct. 6.
