LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

An estimated 307,000 visitors will make the trek to Las Vegas for the Labor Day weekend this year.

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority said the projected total reflects a seven-tenths of a percent jump from 2015's total of 305,000.

In addition, LVCVA is eyeing 375 more available rooms for this weekend compared to last Labor Day and a jump in direct visitor spending, from $205.7 million to $206.5 million.

The projection was released Thursday, which was a day removed from LVCVA's announced record visitation month posted for July 2016. The tourist bureau said more than 3.8 million people visited the entertainment capital of Nevada, which is Las Vegas' highest month on record.
