HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

Henderson police said the driver of a vehicle that collided with a motorcycle Saturday night has been arrested.

Police said Michael Stanley was arrested for driving under the influence resulting in death and leaving the scene of an injury collision.

Officers responded to the crash just before 9 p.m. at Warm Springs Road and Eastgate Road, near Gibson Road.

According to Michelle French, of Henderson police, the 52-year-old motorcycle rider was traveling westbound on Warm Springs Road when he was struck in the rear by a Cadillac CTS driven by Stanley. The motorcycle rider was forced into the guard rail and was separated from the bike.

The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash, French said.

The Clark County Coroner's Office will later release the identity of the deceased.

The collision remains under investigation.

Warm Springs Road was closed from Eastgate Road to Boulder Highway in both directions during the investigation, French said.
