LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Clark County fire said a captain was injured while responding to a fire at an apartment complex on Saturday.

Crews responded to the incident at 8:24 p.m. in the 5000 block of Nellis Oasis Lane, near Nellis Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue.

The department said firefighters were able to quickly extinguish the fire and contain it to the first floor.

A fire captain was cut by glass and transported to a local hospital for treatment, the department said.

The cause is under investigation, but the department said the fire is suspicious in nature. It was the second fire within the past six months at the same location.

The estimated amount of damage has not yet been determined.
