LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A decision to build a stadium for the Raiders to move to Las Vegas is near, but some people are not excited about the possibility.

The location for the proposed 65-thousand seat stadium has been narrowed down to an area near Interstate 15 and Russell Road and the Bali Hai Golf Course.

FOX5 spoke with workers at the Best Little Chapel of the West who said they were happy to hear that an NFL stadium could be at the golf course.

"I think it's fantastic it's great to see the south end of the strip develop and having tens of thousands walking by the chapel can only be a great thing. There's a good chance we might start a raiders wedding package," an employee at the chapel said.

According to a FOX5 Facebook poll, approximately 33 percent of people said the stadium was not a good investment, citing the large price tag.

The Sands Corporation and Raiders want Clark County to pay $750 million. That is the most ever used to build a NFL stadium.

“We got folks who really oppose putting a dime of public money in the stadium, so there’s two sides of the coin here,” said Clark County Commissioner Steve Sisolak.

The committee said during a special session, the legislature could send the decision to use taxpayer dollars back to Clark Count and make the seven commissioners choose.

"They could say okay now you authorize the increase and you issue the bonds because they can't and that would require a two thirds vote from the commission I don't know if that's going to happen, that's another unanswered question, said Sisolak.

Sisolak added that a decision on the stadium could come within the next 30 to 60 days.
