NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified the man found dead inside a vehicle as a North Las Vegas man. 

Medical examiners said 24-year-old Brandon Sumerlin was found dead. The cause and manner of death were pending further investigation. 

North Las Vegas police were alerted of the discovery of Sumerlin's body Thursday at 6:10 p.m. It was located in the area of Allen Lane and West Craig Road. 

Police said it appeared Sumerlin had been deceased for some time. 

The discovery was described by police as suspicious.

According to police, someone was searching for a family member that had gone missing. That person discovered a vehicle that appeared to belong to Sumerlin, and the body was discovered.
