LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A woman taken into custody this week by Las Vegas Metro police is accused of pouring hot cooking grease on a victim, disfiguring her for life.

According to the arrest report for Tanisha Armstrong, on Dec. 7, 2015, the victim, Valerie Williams, visited a friend at an apartment complex in Las Vegas.

While there, Williams got into an argument with Armstrong and Armstrong’s brother, Michael Williams. Armstrong and Michael Williams are casual acquaintances of Valerie Williams.

The report states Valerie Williams admitted to calling Armstrong ugly during the argument and throwing a rock through her window prior to leaving.

Valeria Williams returned to the apartment a short time later, the report states, and that’s when Mike Williams came up behind her, dragged her to the front of the apartment, threw her to the ground and stomped on her.

The report states Armstrong then obtained a pot of hot cooking grease, and, while her brother held the victim down, poured the boiling liquid into her mouth. She then poured it over her body, including her face, chest, arms and legs.

Valerie Williams was severely burned and lost consciousness at one point. She was later taken to University Medical Center by a friend. While at UMC, she coded and had to be revived. She then spent the next six weeks at Warm Springs Health Care and Rehabilitation facility.

Because she was unable to speak or communicate clearly, police were not contacted until Feb. 16, 2016.

Valerie Williams’ injuries are permanent, have disfigured her and caused her internal damage, the report states.

Armstrong will be charged with attempted murder, battery with intent to commit mayhem and battery with substantial harm. Michael Williams was arrested as well and faces similar charges.
