LAS VEGAS (AP) -

A 34-year-old man accused of prompting an active shooter response after displaying a replica gun at a Las Vegas clothing store is due to make an initial court appearance on multiple felony charges.

Jason Lee Mote is due for arraignment Friday on robbery, burglary and assault and with a weapon charges following his arrest Tuesday afternoon at a northwest Las Vegas shopping complex.

He's expected to have an attorney appointed to his case.

Police say Mote argued with a woman in a parking lot, and then causing a disturbance in the store with the display of the handgun that police later learned was fake.

A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper arrested Mote outside the store, and police SWAT officers were summoned before authorities determined there wasn't another gunman in the store.
