Police investigate 2 separate shootings in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police confirmed they are investigating two separate shootings early Thursday morning.

Just after 1:30 a.m., a person was injured in a shooting near Las Vegas Boulevard and Bonanza Road.

The victim sustained a non-life threatening injury, police said.

Police believe the shooting may have stemmed from a drug transaction.

In another incident, police said two people were involved in an argument in the 4300 block of east Bonanza Road, near Lamb Boulevard. Both pulled out guns and exchanged fire.

One person was hit by multiple rounds and was transported to University Medical Center Trauma with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

No suspects were taken into custody, police said.

The shootings remain under investigation.
