LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A firefighter and an elderly woman were observed for injuries Monday after a fire at a condominium complex in the central Las Vegas Valley.

According to Clark County Fire Department, firefighters responded to a call of a fire in the 3700 block of South Valley View Boulevard, near Twain Avenue, at 7:24 a.m.

Firefighters found smoke and flames coming out of the roof of a two-story building, prompting a second alarm call, CCFD said.

Four condominium units received water and smoke damage.

Twelve people, including four children, were displaced as a result of the incident. An elderly woman was transported to University Medical Center for smoke inhalation. A firefighter was also treated for a small laceration to the head after a roof or floor pile landed on him. His injuries were non-life threatening.

A cause of the fire is being investigated.
