LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

One person was transported to a local hospital after a fire Sunday afternoon, according to Las Vegas Fire and Rescue.

Crews responded to the call at 3:05 p.m. on the 1900 block of Abbott Street, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Martin Luther King Boulevard.

According to LVFR, a fire that started on a patio spread to a one-story home.Arriving firefighters noticed a woman trying to escape the smoke was being helped by other family members and crews stepped into help the woman. 

A victim was removed from the home and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution because of a prior medical condition, the department said.  The person was not suffering from smoke inhalation or burns. 

The fire was knocked down within 10 minutes, the department said.

Three adults were displaced in the fire, the department said. 

The cause was undetermined, but investigators believe it started on the patio, the department said. Damage was estimated at $65,000.
