Man accused of threatening to blow up Pahrump post office

PAHRUMP, NV (FOX5) -

The Nye County’s Sheriff’s Office reported a man was taken into custody Monday after a bomb threat was made to Pahrump’s United States Postal Service office.

Deputies were called to the post office just after 2 p.m. and set up a perimeter around the building.

Detectives quickly identified the suspect as Dwight Orndorf. He was taken into custody without incident.

Deputies said Orndorf admitted to threatening to blow the building up, among other threats toward the safety of others.

Deputies said Orndorf was not armed and was not in the possession of any devices. He later told deputies he was just mad.

Orndorf if facing a charge of committing an act of terrorism and making threats/providing false information regarding an act of terrorism.
