FERGUSON, MO (KPLR/KTVI/CNN) - Business owners say they don't know when they'll feel it's safe to repair damage left by looters and vandals.

Stores across the city were left damaged amid unrest over the shooting death of 18-year-old man Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer.

The owner of a hair salon said until business owners feel certain the danger of more trouble has passed, the area will continue to look shabby.

"It shouldn't look like this, it looks bad," Dellena Jones said. "It looks terrible, especially with the burned down QuikTrip. It's like a terrible flaw, it looks bad. So we do want to fix it because we want the facelift. We want it to look good, but we want it remain looking that way once we fix it."

Business owners said some of their customers are also still uneasy because of ongoing marches and protests.

Organizers of Saturday's "National March on Ferguson" called for a peaceful event.
