PARADISE VALLEY, AZ (CBS5) -

A shirtless burglary suspect who claimed to be high on methamphetamine and alcohol was arrested after a homeowner found him in his Paradise Valley house Thursday night.

Christopher Fulton, 45, was found wearing jeans and no shirt after he fled the house when police arrived about 9:30 p.m., according to a Paradise Valley Police Department report.

Fulton was caught in the area of East Lincoln Drive and North Palo Cristi Road, but it didn't appear he had taken anything, according to the report.

The homeowner later identified Fulton as the man he saw in his house, according to the report.

He was taken to the Paradise Valley police station, and told officers he had been drinking vodka earlier in the day and was high on meth, according to the report.

Fulton then started splashing himself with water from a toilet to cool off and became ill, according to the report.

He was taken to a nearby hospital with an accelerated heart rate, according to the report.

Charges are pending, police said.
