LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police released video in its investigation of a number of break-ins that happened in an area in the southwest Valley.

According to police, the burglaries took place in the area of Blue Diamond Road and Buffalo Drive. Metro said the video released Wednesday was obtained from a July 2 attempted break-in that shows three people.

Police said a homeowner in the 7600 block of Corvina Avenue heard what sounded like glass shattering from a back window at about 9:30 p.m. that night. That person found someone had tried to get into the home but failed in the attempt.

According to detectives, the three men in the video appeared to be in their late teens or early 20s, each weighing 140 to 160 pounds with average heights and average builds. The people appeared to be equipped with backpacks and possibly flashlights.

Police urged anyone with information on the case to contact Metro's Enterprise Area Command, Property Crimes Section at 702-828-4810 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
