ST. LOUIS (CNN) - Hundreds turned out for a rally in support of Ferguson Officer Darren Wilson.

Supporters wearing shirts with police badges publicly stood by him and his actions.

Wilson is the officer who killed 19-year-old Michael Brown in Ferguson, MO, sparking days of violent protests.

Critics have called for his firing, saying his actions were unwarranted.

"Our mission is to formally declare that we share the united belief that Officer Wilson's actions on Aug. 9 were warranted and justified and he has our unwavering support. We believe that evidence has and will continue to validate our position," a speaker who didn't provide a name said.

"We will not hide, we will no longer live in fear. We ask this question can justice ever be attained if one side supporters are living in fear of speaking out. If you support Darren Wilson make your voices heard. Call or write Governor Nixon and demand that this bias stops now," the speaker said.
