LAKE MOHAVE, NV (FOX5) -

The body of a man recovered over the weekend from Lake Mohave near Boulder City was identified.

The cause and manner of death for Bobbie Ray Washam, 79, of Long Beach, CA, remained pending Thursday, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

The National Park Service said Washam's body was pulled from the waters at Lake Mohave near Paiute Cove at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area on Sunday, Aug. 10.

Rangers said they received a call just before 2:30 p.m. of a man who went into the water, struggled and disappeared beneath the surface.

NPS rangers, Nevada Department of Wildlife game wardens and divers from the Bullhead City, AZ, fire department took part in recovering the body.

Citing witnesses, rangers said Washam was not wearing a life jacket at the time.
