Police released images of a man believed to have held up a number of businesses in the Las Vegas Valley throughout July.

The picture released Wednesday stems from an armed robbery that took place in the area of Rainbow and Charleston boulevards at about 5:20 a.m. on July 22.

Las Vegas Metro police said the man brandished a handgun, pointed it at a worker and demanded money. The man fled on foot with cash.

Detectives described the man as black, 25 to 35 years old, 5'9" and 170 pounds. He was seen in the July 22 incident wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, chrome aviator-style sunglasses and dark gray pants.

Police urged anyone with information on the suspect to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
