Family seeks justice in Las Vegas man's death

Posted: Updated:

A woman wanted by police in connection with the shooting death of a Las Vegas man on Tuesday is still on the loose.

Police said 21-year-old Anishya Douglas shot and killed 24-year-old Christopher Jones Jr. on Tuesday.

Dozens of family members and friends gathered on Friday to grieve the loss of a son, father, and friend with a candlelight vigil.

It was Tuesday when police said Douglas shot and killed Jones in an apartment on Marion Drive near the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Owens Avenue. Police say the two were aquatinted in some way and had an argument the previous day. Douglas is still on the loose and expected to be armed and dangerous.

Jones' wife Diana Jones said the family now seeks justice. She said Douglas has been around her and her family several times.

Jones said Chris or Scooby as many people called him was loved by many and would do anything for anyone. Jones' mother Julie Tatum said the tragedy has rocked their family and she hopes Douglas is caught soon.

Jones leaves behind a 1-year-old son who's named after him. Because the death of Jones was unexpected, the family said they don't have the proper funds to lay him to rest.  If you want to help the family with funeral expenses there has been a go fund me account set up. You can find that account at
