HENDERSON, NV (FOX5) -

Henderson Assistant City Manager Fred Horvath was charged with driving under the influence Friday afternoon, according to jail records.

Records on the city jail's website showed that Horvath was booked just after 3 p.m. and charged with first-offense DUI and was being held with a bond of $2,140. A couple of hours later, the records no longer appeared on the website.

According to FOX5 sources, Horvath was stopped by a motorcycle officer after his vehicle was seen weaving in and out of his lane.

Kathleen Richards, spokeswoman for city government, said Horvath has been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of an investigation.

Horvath was elevated to his current position last October. He oversees the departments of Community Development and Services, Information Technology, Public Works, Parks and Recreation and Utility Services.

He has worked for Henderson since June 2005.
