Pedestrian critically injured in North Las Vegas crash

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

North Las Vegas police on Thursday night closed the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and North Fifth Street following an accident involving a pedestrian.

The North Las Vegas Police Department's Sgt. Chrissie Coon said that about 8:35 p.m., the man was hit by a vehicle in the intersection. He was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.

Coon said the woman driving the sedan involved in the wreck remained at the scene.
