LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The MGM Grand on the Las Vegas Strip is set to host two college basketball tournaments this year, and the UNLV Runnin' Rebels will be a part of the action.

From Nov. 24 through 26, the MGM Grand Main Event tournament will showcase eight teams inside the 16,000-seat Grand Garden Arena. The event will feature two four-team brackets with each team playing two games each day.

One bracket features heavyweights Auburn, Oklahoma State, Oregon State and Tulsa, while the other bracket includes Louisiana, Milwaukee, Oral Roberts and another team to be announced.

On Dec. 20, UNLV will headline the MGM Grand Showcase. Oklahoma will battle Washington at 6 p.m. followed by a showdown between the Runnin' Rebels and Utah at 8:30 p.m.

Both games will be televised nationally. The tournament benefits Coaches vs. Cancer, an initiative spearheaded by the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society.
