LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

An 18-year-old Las Vegas man was identified as the person killed during a shooting outside of a house party in the city's northwest side.

The Clark County Coroner's Office said Issachar Akaka died of a gunshot wound of the torso as a result of a homicide.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Akaka was one of four people shot as they were leaving a house part about 5 a.m. on July 20 in the 3400 block of Rancho Drive.

Three of the victims were transported and treated at University Medica Center while the fourth person, Akaka, died at the scene.

Citing investigators, police said the victims were at a house party in the 3300 block of Corona Del Mar when they got into some sort of a verbal altercation.

After leaving the party a white, four-door sedan drove up next to them and the passenger fired a handgun into the victim vehicle, striking four people before fleeing.

Police are not sure if the suspects involved in the shooting are the same subjects involved in the confrontation at the party.

Police urged people with information on the case to contact Metro's Homicide Section at 702-828-3521 or at homicide@lvmpd.com. People can also send tips to Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
