Police seeking man who sexually assaulted, carjacked woman

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Las Vegas Metro police have released surveillance video of the man they believe is responsible for sexually assaulting and carjacking a woman early Tuesday morning.

Police said the woman was driving in the area of Durango Drive and the 215 Beltway about 2:45 a.m. when a man confronted her at gunpoint.

Police said that following the sexual assault, the man fled the scene with the victim's vehicle.

The man responsible is described as white, about 22 years old, 6'0" tall and approximately 160 pounds. He has dark hair and was wearing a red shirt and black pants during the attack.

Police said the man should be considered armed and dangerous.
