NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -

Medical examiners released the identity of a girl who was struck by a pickup truck in North Las Vegas and later died at the hospital.

The Clark County Coroner's Office did not immediately disclose Thursday the cause and manner of death for 7-year-old Nevaeh Meon Malone.

On Wednesday, the North Las Vegas Police Department reported it was notified by staff at University Medical Center that Nevaeh died.

The girl was in a crosswalk on Commerce Street, near Kraft Avenue, when she was hit about 8:53 p.m. on July 11.

She was taken to UMC in extremely critical condition.

Police said the 47-year-old driver of the Ford pickup that hit her remained at the scene. Officers said neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors in the crash.

However, charges against the driver are pending the outcome of the investigation.

The child's family earlier this week identified her.

This marks the fourth traffic-related fatality in North Las Vegas so far in 2014.
