LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

Susan Cupit, from Palm Desert, CA, had a good weekend in Las Vegas.

Cupit, a homemaker and avid gambler, hit the $2.6 million jackpot while playing the Hot Shot Progressive video slot at The Palazzo on the Las Vegas Strip about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

On Friday, Cupit won $1,500 on the same Bally Technologies machine.

"It made that click sound and stopped on the jackpot. I thought, ‘I must have won something big.' I knew it was progressive, but I never looked up. All of a sudden I had 100 people crowding around me, saying I'd won the $2.6 million," Cupit said.

Cupit said she'd use her winnings to live comfortably in retirement and remodel her house.
