Posted: Updated:

A man armed with a shotgun held up a convenient store Wednesday in the northeast end of the Las Vegas Valley, according to police.

Las Vegas Metro police confirmed the robbery in the 5700 block of East Charleston Boulevard near Sloan Lane about 12:39 a.m.

According to a watch commander with Metro, a white man wearing a mask held up a Green Valley Grocery and fled with money. The watch commander said no shots were fired and there were no injuries.

Police said they later received reports of a man with a "long gun" in the same area. Officers were able to recover a shotgun in a backyard in the area but were still seeking the suspect.

A description of a suspect was not immediately disclosed.

If you have information on the case, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
