(Toledo News Now) -

Police in Indiana have released new information in the case of a missing Michigan man, who police believe was murdered by a Toledo couple.

According to police in Anderson, IN, they received a call on July 8 from a person who saw Robert and Desirae Strauss in a park. The caller said it looked like they were doing or dealing drugs.

When police arrived to investigate, they didn't find drugs, but they realized the Strausses were in a car belonging to missing Ypsilanti man Brian Martin.

Robert Strauss gave police a false name and was arrested for false informing. Desirae Strauss was arrested for an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court on unrelated charges.

Toledo Police have since charged the couple with the murder of Martin, who was last seen in Toledo on June 22 to coach a softball game. Martin was reportedly involved in a relationship with Desirae Strauss. Police executed a search warrant on the Strauss home, which turned up evidence that led police to believe Martin had been bludgeoned to death.

Police are now waiting for the governor to sign extradition papers before the Strausses can be brought to Toledo. That could take up to a month.

Martin's body has still not been found. Police are asking that anyone living between Toledo and Anderson, IN check their property. Anyone with information on this investigation can contact their local police department.
