LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

The Clark County Coroner's Office identified a man who died after his motorcycle struck the side of a pickup truck in the northwest Las Vegas Valley.

Medical examiners said James Andrew Cuccia, 21, of Las Vegas, died of multiple blunt force injuries as a result of an accident.

According to Las Vegas Metro police, Cuccia was the rider of a bike involved in a crash on Rampart Boulevard and Point Conception Drive on Sunday afternoon.

Citing evidence and witnesses, police said the motorcyclist was heading north on Rampart when he was approaching Point Conception.

The motorcycle then crashed with a southbound Nissan Frontier that was turning left onto eastbound Point Conception.

The motorcyclist died at the scene, police said. The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene.

As of this incident, Metro has responded to 42 traffic-related fatalities this year.
