LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

A man suspected in a northwest Las Vegas holdup used a bottle of liquor to rob a store of cigarettes, according to police.

Las Vegas Metro police released images Tuesday of a person suspected in the May 21 holdup that took place about 3:20 a.m. in the 6400 block of W. Lake Mead Boulevard.

According to police, a man took a bottled beverage, walked up to the counter and then threw it at an employee.

The man then jumped onto the counter and struck the clerk, police said.

Police said the suspect took a garbage bag and placed multiple boxes of cigarettes into it before getting away.

The suspect was described as 26 or 27 years old, 5'8", medium build with short, brown, clean-cut hair. The man was last seen wearing a black with rainbow colored, checker pattern design, hooded jacket, a black T-shirt, khaki cargo pants and black shoes with a white bottom. The suspect was also wearing a large gold watch with a black band on his left wrist and a black Chicago Bulls hat with a red logo on the front.

Police urged anyone with information on the incident to contact Metro's Robbery Section at 702-828-3591 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
