NORTH LAS VEGAS, NV (FOX5) -
Police said one person was killed and another person was injured during a shooting in North Las Vegas late Thursday night.
The shooting happened about 11 p.m. on Via Maria Court, near the intersection of Commerce Street and Lone Mountain Road.
North Las Vegas police said officers arrived and found the body of a man, identified by the Clark County Coroner's Office as 18-year-old Tyrell Melton, of Las Vegas, at the scene. They said a 14-year-old girl was also at the scene, suffering from a gunshot wound.
The girl was taken to University Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Investigators said it appears that the shooting stemmed from an argument that happened earlier in the evening.
No arrests have been made.
