Las Vegas Metro police are investigating a reported shooting that left a canine dead Monday morning.
According to police, a woman living in a neighborhood on Sun Palace Court, near the 215 Beltway and Cheyenne Avenue, reported hearing gunshots about 6 a.m.
Citing the woman, police said she looked outside to find her dog had been shot.
Officers were called to the home. When officers arrived, the dog had already died, according to Metro.
Police were looking for any witnesses or suspects in the incident.
