Coroner IDs man who crashed car into a wall on Dean Martin

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -

One man is dead after his car crashed into a wall in south Las Vegas on Saturday.

Police said the crash happened at approximately 3:45 p.m. near Dean Martin Drive and Irvin Avenue.

According to evidence at the scene and witness statements, a 51-year-old man driving a Ford F150 was traveling northbound on Dean Martin when his vehicle veered east across a sidewalk and over a decorative landscape area. The driver's truck came to rest against a residential property wall near Irvin Avenue. 

The driver was transported to St. Rose Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, according to police.

The Clark County Coroner's office identified the man as, 50-year-old Francisco Iovino from Las Vegas. The cause of death and manner have not be released.

Police said it is unclear at this time if the driver was suffering from a medical condition prior to the crash.

This crash is under investigation by the LVMPD Accident Investigation Section.
